The first day of classes for the spring 2017 semester at UTEP is Tuesday, Jan. 17. A variety of welcome back activities are planned through the Office of Student Life. The “Miner Welcome” is four days of high energy, fun-filled events and activities.

“We plan Miner Welcome in order to create a welcoming and engaging environment for students during the first week of a new semester,” said Mallory Garcia, event services coordinator for the Office of Student Life. “Whether we are welcoming new incoming students to their first semester at UTEP or welcoming retuning students to a new semester, we want to allow students to get started on the right foot. Our goal is to promote student engagement from the very first day of classes and show students what type of college experience they can look forward to at UTEP.”
