Together with our community partners, we are adressing some of the most complex and pressing health challenges.
Our faculty has expertise across a wide array of public health and social equity topics, with a particular focus in eight areas: border, community and global health; cardiovascular and exercise science; clinical and interdisciplinary education; diabetes, nutrition and obesity research; gender studies and sexual health; healthy aging and geriatric studies; mental health; and motor function and rehabilitation sciences. Students are engaged in research beginning at the undergraduate level and have opportunities to work in interdisciplinary teams in state-of-the-art research facilities across the College's three sites.
The College also hosts UTEP's annual Viva La Salud conference, which provides a forum for faculty across the university to present their research in the area of health disparities.
