UTEP’s Department of Creative Writing and the Center for Inter-American and Border Studies will host a reception to celebrate the release of the book “All They Will Call You,” written by Tim Z. Hernandez, a UTEP creative writing assistant professor.
The event will feature a short poetry reading by Gabriela Montelongo and a musical collaboration with Jeff Sirkin, which will be followed by a book signing and reception.
“All They Will Call You” is the account of "the worst airplane disaster in California's history," which claimed the lives of 32 passengers, including 28 Mexican migrant workers who were being deported by the U.S. government.
