This symposium, from Sept. 17-19, is sponsored by the UTEP Department of Biological Sciences and the Border Biomedical Research Center, will feature presentations by leading scientists and clinicians on topics of high public health importance, such as diabetes, cancer, infectious diseases, neurobiology/behavior, environmental toxicology and community outreach.
This symposium, from Sept. 17-19, is sponsored by the UTEP Department of Biological Sciences and the Border Biomedical Research Center, will feature presentations by leading scientists and clinicians on topics of high public health importance, such as diabetes, cancer, infectious diseases, neurobiology/behavior, environmental toxicology and community outreach.
The primary goal of the symposium is to communicate to the research community state-of-the-art basic and applied research focused on health disparities. There will be opportunities for researchers, health professionals and other interested individuals to exchange information and ideas, discuss and review recent discoveries, and advance new research and outreach strategies. Ultimately, this symposium seeks to promote collaborative networks and share insights into these priority areas.
