National Student Employment Appreciation Week

During the week of April 9-13, join us as we celebrate our student employees and the positive impact they have on our university.

The appreciation fair will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, April 9 in Union Building East, Cactus Flower Room 102C. There will be giveaways and raffles for student employees.

Encourage your office or department to engage with your student employees in one or more of the activities listed below.

Individually

• Review your students’ resumes and go over their career goals
• Conduct mock interviews
• Help them create a professional profile on LinkedIn
• Identify professional development opportunities across campus

Team-based:

• Schedule a team-building activity (e.g. high ropes course at Student Recreation Center, True Colors)
• Watch a TED Talk video as a team and reflect
• Invite an alumni guest speaker to an office meet and greet
