Express Retrieval Service
The UTEP Retrieval Service provides UTEP Faculty a convenient way to obtain library-owned materials. Books will be pulled from the stacks and held at the Access Services desk for pickup. Journals will be retrieved from the stacks and articles scanned as requested. Articles will be emailed to you from the Interlibrary Loan Department. Books will be retrieved and articles will be scanned at no cost. Journals will not be pulled or held.
Library-Owned Materials:
Books or articles requested through these services will have been identified as being UTEP holdings by the requestor, before initiating an official request.
Services:
- Retrieving books and holding for pickup
- Retrieving journals, scanning and emailing articles
Requests:
Requests for this service can be made electronically (for books / for articles).
Procedures:
Staff from Access Services will search, retrieve, and hold books for Faculty to pick up. Notification of availability to Faculty will be made by phone, e-mail, or mail.
Staff from ILL/Document Delivery will search, retrieve, scan and send articles electronically from journals found in the UTEP collection.
Requests will be limited to 5 per week, whether books, articles, or a combination of both.
