Tanya Marin ’15

Doctor of Nursing Practice, Adolescent Medicine

Dr. Tanya Marin ’15 saves children’s lives as a pediatric nurse practitioner in Texas and New Mexico.

Aside from a short stint in San Antonio, Texas, Tanya has made it her mission to live, work, learn and give back to the borderland. Her work in the El Paso community is helping to ensure children and families have access to high-quality healthcare, no matter their circumstances – and it all began with an education at UTEP.

After receiving her Doctor of Nursing Practice with a concentration in adolescent medicine from UTEP, Tanya opened the Santa Teresa Children’s Day and Night Clinic in southern New Mexico, providing primary and acute care to children. With a flexible schedule and telehealth options, she works hard to ensure that families and children receive the care they need, when they need it.

She is also a pediatric nurse practitioner with 915 Pediatrics, bringing her expertise, care and diligence to the El Paso community.

But it all began at UTEP. From earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1997 to obtaining her doctorate and serving on the faculty, she has used the skills and knowledge gained to truly make an impact in her community.
