The University of Texas at El Paso will make free COVID-19 vaccines available to the general public on Friday, April 23 and Saturday, April 24, the final weekend that UTEP’s vaccination clinic will offer the first dose of the vaccine.

Anyone interested in getting a vaccine at UTEP this week should follow the steps below:

  1. Please go to utep.edu/vaccineregistration as soon as possible to register for a vaccine.
  2. You will receive an email with a link to schedule an appointment. An appointment is required in order to receive a vaccination. No walk-ins will be accepted.
  3. Please retain the bar code and registration confirmation ID number you receive during the registration process for entry to the clinic. You will also need to show a photo ID. Students and employees may present their Miner Gold Cards for entry.

Current UTEP students and employees will be given priority registration for this week’s clinic, but the University expects vaccine doses to be available for community members.

The UTEP vaccination program launched in January with approval of the Texas Department of State Health Services. To date, UTEP has administered at least one dose of the vaccine to nearly 13,500 students, employees and community members.

More information about UTEP’s vaccination program is available at utep.edu/vaccine.
