Paydirt’s Rally Set for Aug. 12 on ABC-7

Fans will have the opportunity to support UTEP student-athletes through this skills-challenge fundraiser that will air in segments throughout the day on ABC-7 (KVIA-TV). Student-athletes will participate in activities and earn points based on their performance. Donors can pledge a monetary amount for each point earned by a student-athlete during an activity.

COVID Testing Site to Open Off Sun Bowl Drive

A public COVID testing site operated by the City of El Paso will open Tuesday, Aug. 9 on UTEP property. Students, employees and the general public who are symptomatic, high-risk, or have been exposed to COVID can stop by the site at 3333 N. Mesa at Kern Drive. It will offer drive-up testing and a UTEP lane for students and employees with their household members.

ADA Advisory Committee Invites Community to Hybrid Meeting

The Miner community can bring questions to UTEP’s ADA Advisory Committee at a public meeting at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 8, in Union Building East, Cactus Flower Room 102C. The meeting is also available via Zoom (Dial in (audio only) +1 346-248-7799, Meeting ID: 895 0714 1578).
