University Names 2022 Hawkins Scholars

UTEP awarded the prestigious Hawkins Scholarships to juniors Laura Sofia Ronquillo and Maximilian Rothblatt. Each received $10,000 for educational expenses and experiences.

Estate Donates $2M for KTEP, UTEP Scholarships

KTEP-FM (88.5) will use part of its $1 million gift to upgrade studios and equipment, and $1 million will support annual scholarships for hard-working students. The money came from the estate of Margaret (Mari) Herman.

Grant to Fund Behavioral Health Training Program

A $1.9M grant will pay for a collaboration between UTEP, Sul Ross State University and a Presidio health services agency to provide mental and behavioral health care to rural West Texas residents.
