Record Nine UTEP Students Earn Archer Fellowships

The Archer Center selected a record nine undergraduates from The University of Texas at El Paso for its prestigious semester-long fellowship program in Washington, D.C. In the program, students receive firsthand experience in public service and policymaking. Previous Archer Fellows have interned at the U.S. Supreme Court, the U.S. Department of State and at offices in the White House.

UTEP Study Focuses on Electrical Stimulation to Decrease Diabetes Risk

This summer, student researchers in UTEP’s Metabolic, Nutrition and Exercise Research (MiNER) Laboratory are studying the effects of electrical stimulation on the metabolism of Mexican-American adults with sedentary lifestyles who are at high risk for type 2 diabetes.

UTEP Soccer Coach Nominated for ESPY

Kate Ward, an assistant coach with the UTEP soccer program, has been named a finalist for the ESPY for Best Athlete With A Disability, Women's Sports.

“Head Over Heels” is a musical comedy set to the music of the iconic 1980s all-female rock band The Go-Gos. Performances run through July 24.

UTEP’s Master of Public Administration faculty and staff present the first presentation of this hybrid speaker series at 5:30 p.m. July 7 in the Undergraduate Learning Center, Room 320. Faculty and Staff Parking Permits Now Available

Faculty and staff parking permits are now available at Parking and Transportation’s new online portal, which was launched to coincide with the sale of 2022-23 permits. The system automatically will renew multiyear permits, which start with “24.”
