Manuela Alejandra Gomez, a doctoral student in the College of Education, has been named a Piper Professor for the State of Texas, one of the most prestigious, statewide awards for teaching excellence at the college level.

Osher Lifelong Learning Institute Registration Opens

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) offers classes in areas including art, literature, music and fitness for adults ages 50 and over. Registration runs May 16-31, and classes are June 6-July 15.

Philosopher Carlos Sanchez will connect the aesthetic and artistic aspects of the social realities of Mexico and the United States. The talk is in conjunction with the Centennial Museum exhibit “Mexico: Crisis and Uprising.”

Water/Ways Exhibit

10 a.m.- 4 p.m. Monday-Saturday through June 25 | Centennial Museum and Chihuahuan Desert Gardens

Water/Ways explores the past, present and future of water in El Paso and how it divides and unites individuals and communities through historic, artistic, economic, political and social lenses. The exhibit is now extended through June 25.
