The College of Education celebrated students in its Miner Teacher Residency program through a match day, a tradition typically practiced in medical schools. Students found out in which Region 19 school they will be placed for their yearlong residency, a rigorous student teaching program.

With more than 800 species of plants that are native or adapted to the Chihuahuan Desert, visitors can see the plants in their native setting. The Chihuahuan Desert Gardens and the Centennial Museum are open to the public all summer long, with the museum hours 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday-Saturday.
