Get Ready for Finals at Up All Night

Job Expo

Up All Night is the end of semester celebration to have fun and relax before finals week. Join the fun 8:30-11:30 p.m. Dec. 1 in Union Building East. Activities will include photo booths, paint-a-tote, silent disco and more! First 300 students will receive a free T-shirt.

Understanding the History of the Borderlands: Family Day Event

Families are invited to a day of fun activities from 12 to 3 p.m. Dec. 3 at the Centennial Museum and Chihuahuan Desert Gardens. Spend the afternoon learning the printmaking technique of repujado, or metal embossing; creating alebrijes, or clay sculptures of fantastic/mythical creatures in Mexican folk art; and more. The event is part of the exhibit "Paso Ajenos: Social Justice and Inequalities on the Borderlands."

Catch Final Performances of ‘Zoot Suit’

The UTEP Department of Theatre and Dance presents this historical musical, which tells the story of Henry Reyna and the 38th Street Gang through the Sleepy Lagoon Murders, the ensuing trial, and infamous Zoot Suit Riots. Performances are 7:30 p.m. Dec. 2-3, 2:30 p.m. Dec. 4 in the Wise Family Theater.

Watch UTEP Concert and Symphonic Bands Perform

Enjoy live music performances from UTEP students in the final concert and symphonic band performance of the semester at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 1 in the Fox Fine Arts Recital Hall. Tickets are $5 for adults, $3 for students and military, and free for UTEP students faculty and staff.

UTEP Collaborates with TTUHSC-EP to Help Address Bias in Health Care

El Paso Matters featured an article on how UTEP theatre and health sciences faculty are working with Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center El Paso to train health care providers on ways to deal with social discrimination.
