In her annual Fall Convocation address to the faculty and staff, UTEP President Heather Wilson announced that UTEP raised a record-breaking $38.9 million during FY2022 to support scholarships and fellowships, facilities and faculty.

UTEP Leaders and Educators Honored at Annual McDonald’s Triunfadores

Three UTEP educators were honored for their impact on Hispanics in the community at the 21st Annual McDonald's Triunfadores Luncheon. The UTEP honorees included School of Pharmacy Founding Dean José O. Rivera, Pharm.D.; COURI Director Lourdes Echegoyen, Ph.D.; and OLLI instructor Romy Saenz Hawkins.

College of Education’s Jessica Slade Named Texas Teacher Educator of the Year

Jessica Slade, Ph.D., assistant professor of instruction in teacher education, was recently honored by the Texas Association for the Education of Young Children (TXAEYC) as Teacher Educator of the Year 2022.

Students Invited to Grad School Fair, Virtual Career EXPO

Students seeking employment or graduate school opportunities can participate in two fairs this week. The Graduate & Professional Schools Fair is 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4 in the Tomás Rivera Conference Center in Union Building East. Employers seeking interns and full-time hires will be available at the Virtual Career EXPO from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 7. Film Screening Part of Hispanic Heritage Month Events

Watch “The Infiltrators,” a film by Alex Rivera and Christina Ibarra, as part of UTEP’s Hispanic Heritage Month events. The screening is at 3 p.m. Oct. 6 in Blumberg Auditorium in the University Library.
