UTEP-Led Water Sustainability Study Earns National Award

A cross-border project to find solutions to water sustainability challenges has received an award from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Institute of Food and Agriculture. The UTEP-led project applied computer modeling techniques to assess irrigation water availability from the region’s main water sources.

$5M NSF Grant Supports Computer Science Students

A $5 million grant from the National Science Foundation will provide scholarships and professional development experiences to 26 talented UTEP undergraduate students studying computer science who are focused on data science or cybersecurity.

Contribute Art for Display During Black History Month

UTEP is seeking African-American artists who would like their art to be showcased at the Union Gallery during Black History Month. Artwork should illustrate the theme “Resistance through Black Joy” and must be submitted by Jan. 20.

Applications are Open for 2023 Top Ten Seniors

Applications are open for the 2023 Top Ten Seniors awards, which are given annually to graduating seniors who reflect what it means to be an outstanding student and a proud Miner. The application deadline is Jan. 31.
