Longtime Senior Staffers Promoted to VP Roles

Catie McCorry-Andalis and Amanda Vasquez-Vicario Appointed VPs for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management

UTEP has named Catie McCorry-Andalis the new Vice President for Student Affairs and Amanda Vasquez-Vicario the Vice President for Enrollment Management. "Both are impressive campus leaders with proven track records at UTEP,” said President Heather Wilson in a campus bulletin.

Researchers to Train Farmers on How to Reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions

UTEP research will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions by training farmers across the nation on climate-friendly agricultural practices. The project is supported by a new $2 million, four-year grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.

UTEP Pair Named CUSA Track Athletes of the Year

Victor Kibiego, who earned First Team All-American honors, and Marissa Simpson, who was named Second Team All-American, were selected as the 2023 Conference USA Track Athletes of the Year. They are the first pair of Miners to sweep the track athlete of the year awards since 2017 when Tobi Amusan and Emmanuel Korir were given the same awards.

Conference Focuses on Advancing Advocacy
