Microsoft Named Sponsor of Raise Your Pick Giving Day

Microsoft Corp. is the official corporate sponsor of the inaugural Raise Your Pick UTEP Giving Day scheduled for April 12. Raise Your Pick UTEP Giving Day is a community-wide giving event designed to raise funds for approximately 50 initiatives on campus, including UTEP scholarships, programs, research and student support services.

UTEP Professor Trains Future Astronauts at NASA

Jose Hurtado, Ph.D., made such an impact training future astronauts that he has been formally honored by NASA. The geology professor teaches them about geology and its relation to planetary sciences – knowledge they can use in future spaceflights.

CAPS Workshop Teaches Coping Techniques

Sometimes, life brings difficult situations that can’t be easily managed. In this workshop, UTEP's Counseling and Psychological Services will help participants learn skills to cope with their emotions when these difficult circumstances occur.
