Cellular and molecular biochemistry major Valeria Lopez and electrical engineering major Arian Perez Ramos have earned the Hawkins Scholarship – the University’s highest award for scholarship and leadership.

Center for Free Enterprise Hosts Talk

Ryan Bourne, the R. Evan Scharf Chair for the Public Understanding of Economics at the Cato Institute, will discuss his upcoming book "The War on Prices" from 3-5:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 16 in the Undergraduate Learning Center, room 126. The talk is hosted by the Hunt College of Business Center for Free Enterprise and is open to the public.

RSVP for Lecture Presented by Natalicio Institute for Hispanic Student Success

The campus is invited to an afternoon with Luis Ponjuán, associate professor at Texas A&M University, who will present “The Path Forward: Exploring the Higher Educational Experiences of Latino/x Collegiate Men,” which will take place at 3:30 p.m. Nov. 29 in the Undergraduate Learning Center. Ponjuán has presented his research at the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for Hispanics and to other government and educational groups.

Workshop to Cover Title IX, Sexual Misconduct Policy

UTEP’s Title IX and Equal Opportunity offices will host a workshop that will discuss how policies intersect, mandatory reporting duties for employees, support strategies and resources available for Title IX-related incidents. Join 9-10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 16 in Union Building East, Andesite Room 102B.
