Shery Welsh Named Executive Director of Aerospace Center

UTEP has named Shery Welsh, Ph.D., as the next leader of the Aerospace Center. She is the former Director of the Air Force Office of Scientific Research and most recently served as Director of the Air Force Research Lab Directed Energy Directorate at Kirtland Air Force Base.

CUSA Names UTEP’s Belik, Burgher and Woodley Track & Field Athletes of the Year

UTEP took three of the six 2024 Conference USA Track & Field Superlative awards: Jakub Belik earned Men's Field Athlete of the Year; Niesha Burgher earned Women's Track Athlete of the Year; and Jordani Woodley earned Male Track Athlete of the Year.
