UTEP College of Nursing Receives PPE Donation
The UTEP College of Nursing would like to express its sincere gratitude to Silva Magnet High School for donating personal protection equipment (PPE) to our 8th semester undergraduate nursing students.
We received 150 masks, which we promptly distributed to our nursing students, who are currently engaged in their clinical coursework at University Medical Center, El Paso Children’s Hospital, Del Sol Medical Center and Las Palmas Medical Center.
Silva Magnet also donated 45 isolation gowns and 200 gloves. The much-needed PPE will help our students stay safe while they assist health care workers - many of whom are UTEP alumni – to treat patients during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Thank you to our wonderful community partners for joining us in our efforts to keep our students healthy and safe, and thank you to our amazing nursing alumni for setting such a great example for our students!
