COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT

After a year of our individual research, we offered 14-months of workshops and public programming that offered the opportunity for the public to engage with the Rio Bosque Wetlands Park through a wide range of lenses. Working with experts from across fields, we engaged over 200 people while bringing our UTEP students along in every step of the process. This generated a substantial archive of materials that reflected people’s experiences and reflections at the park.

Special thanks to Elizabeth Walsh, Andie Everett, Janeth Herrera, Ana Suffle, Jonathan Contreras, and Marayah Vigo for sharing their expertise with us and ETB participants.
