Francisco Delgado

Francisco Delgado was born in Ciudad Juárez and grew up in El Paso’s Segundo Barrio. His “Bordeño” artworks are informed by the social and cultural struggles inherent in life along the Mexican and United States border.Francisco explores and questions identity, race, cultural traditions, and government policies that affect migration and immigrants. He often uses dark humor and satire to depict his narratives.Delgado holds a Master of Fine Arts from the Yale School of Art. His works have been published in books, exhibited in national and international art exhibitions and community institutions.

Francisco Delgado nació en Ciudad Juárez y creció en el Segundo Barrio de El Paso. Sus obras Bordeño se inspiran en las luchas sociales y culturales inherentes a la vida en la frontera entre México y Estados Unidos. Francisco explora y cuestiona la identidad, la raza, las tradiciones culturales y las políticas gubernamentales que afectan la migración y a los migrantes. A menudo utiliza el humor negro y la sátira para representar sus narrativas. Delgado tiene un máster en Bellas Artes por la Yale School of Art. Sus obras se han publicado en libros y se han expuesto en muestras de arte nacionales e internacionales y en instituciones comunitarias.
