Kathryn Polk

Kathryn Polk was born on September 24, 1952, in Memphis, Tennessee. Polk studied painting at the Memphis Academy of Art (1970-71) and Memphis State University (1971-1973). Polk's southern heritage and strict religious upbringing (not always perfect) have been a driving force in her work. In 2002, she began working with traditional stone lithography. Her lithographs can be found in permanent print collections throughout the world in China, New Zealand, South Korea, Wales, France, and Argentina as well as in museums throughout the United States. She is currently co-owner of L VIS Press, a lithography print studio dedicated to the development of more eco-friendly and experimental stonaaqe lithography techniques. L VIS Press has recently relocated from Arizona to rural Indiana.

Kathryn Polk nació el 24 de septiembre de 1952 en Memphis, Tennessee. Polk estudió pintura en la Memphis Academy of Art (1970-71) y en la Memphis State University (1971-1973).
