Teaching Assistanships
The department has set aside several Teaching Assistantships for students enrolled full-time in the graduate program.
Benefits
A Teaching Assistant position includes health insurance for the graduate student (insurance for dependents is available at additional cost). Teaching Assistants are eligible to pay in-state tuition, regardless of their state or country of residence.
Duties
Teaching Assistants are required to enroll in a minimum of 10 semester hours and are scheduled up to 20 hours/week of work in the department. The duties of a Teaching Assistant may include grading papers, assisting professors with teaching of labs or classes, and holding tutorial sessions for students.
