The Office of Legal Affairs provides advice and support on University-related legal issues and activities; assists in the development and implementation of related policies, procedures and guidelines; reviews and interprets UT System and UTEP policies and rules, state and federal laws, and other guidelines; coordinates litigation and other activities with the UT System Office of General Counsel and the Texas Office of the Attorney General; manages all outside counsel contracts and billing; and coordinates bill analysis during legislative sessions.
