Testing and Validating Pavement-Transportation Computer Assisted Structural Engineering (PCASE) Version 7.0
The principal initiatives of this task order are for UTEP to provide support to Intelligent Information Technologies Corp (IIT) in the form of providing technical guidance and comprehensive testing and validation of the software modules as part of the development of PCASE 7 . This effort will support the software development led by the United States Army Corps of Engineers: Transportation Systems Center. UTEP will assess the current state of the software and actively provide guidance on the engineering decision processes, graphic user interface (GUI) behavior and necessary form elements , perform software testing, all while considering mandated engineering criteria documented in the UFCs. The following DoD criteria is being followed: Draft UFC 3-260 Airfield Pavement Evaluation, Draft UFC 3-260-02 Pavement Design of Airfields, and UFC 3-250-01 Pavement Design for Roads and Parking Areas.
Pavement-Transportation Computer Assisted Structural Engineering (PCASE) is a software suite supported and owned by the United States Department of Defense (DoD): Tri-Services (Army, Air Force, and Navy). This software program is employed to perform sophisticated calculations and engineering processes for the structural design and evaluation (i.e. analysis) of airfield, road, and parking area pavements.
