Student Feedback
If you have a compliment or helpful feedback to increase your success, please share your compliments/feedback. This information can be made anonymously if you like.
For more serious concerns, please see the Student Life Policies and Procedures. It gives detail on the different types of concerns and explains how to ensure it is heard by the proper office. The information at that link will ensure you know the University rules. To help you file your concern, the following is a brief summary of the information you will find. There are four different types of concerns, each with its own filing process:
- Equal Educational Opportunity Complaints: (for example exclusion from participation on the basis of race, color, national origin, religion, sex, age, genetic information, veteran status, disability, sexual orientation, or gender identity) Address the concern to the University's Equal Opportunity Office, Kelly Hall, 3rd Floor, at (915) 747-5662 or eoaa@utep.edu
- Grade Review: Follow the instructions on the Office of Student Life Web page under the heading "Grade Grievance" before submitting the Grievance Form.
- Other Academic Complaints: Submit your concern not covered by #1 or #2. This type of concern requires a person from the Dean’s office to contact you so it cannot be done anonymously. The Dean and Associate Dean for Academic Affairs are the only two people who can access this information.
- Non-Academic Complaints: (example the interpretation of student policies) There is not a specific link for this, but the Student Life Policies and Procedures explains how to file your concern.
