Testing
Collegiate Mentors assist students as they enter the testing process. Students at the high schools are provided with the information for each test that is required for their future endeavors. The tests include, but are not limited to: SAT, ACT, TSI and ASVAB.
SAT and ACT
Students are required by certain universities to take one or both tests for admission. They are tests that are tailored to different students to measure their college readiness.
TSI
The TSI is a computer based test that is required by both UTEP and EPCC to determine college readiness in reading, writing, and mathematics. Most high schools administer the test throughout the year.
ASVAB
The ASVAB is a multiple-aptitude battery that measures developed abilities and helps predict future academic and occupational success in the military. It is administered annually to more than one million military applicants, high school, and post-secondary students.
