You must present two valid (i.e., unexpired) forms of identification (ID). Your primary form of ID must be government-issued and contain both your photograph and your signature. The second form of ID is not required to have your photograph or signature.
Acceptable primary forms of ID (government-issued with photograph and signature) include:
• U.S. Driver’s license or state ID card
• Government-issued identification card or passport
Acceptable secondary forms of ID (photograph and signature not required) include:
• Credit card
• UTEP ID card/student ID card
• Library card
• Utility bill with your name and address appearing exactly the same as on your primary form of ID
If you provide false identification or misrepresent your identity at any time, you will be dismissed form the testing room and your MAT scores will be canceled. The testing company (Pearson) may consider further legal action in such cases.
Also, be aware that admittance to the test center does NOT guarantee the acceptability of your forms of identification or that your MAT scores will be processed. All reported cases of questionable identification are subject to review and approval by Pearson.

Test takers are advised to bring at least two forms of acceptable ID each time they report to a test center. With few exceptions, ID documents must meet all of the following requirements. Each ID document must:
• Be an original document; photocopied documents are not acceptable
• Be valid; expired documents (bearing expiration dates that have passed) are NOT acceptable
• Show the test taker's full name matching exactly the name used to register
• Show a recent photograph that clearly matches the test taker
• Include the test taker's signature

If you do not have proper identification at the time of your test, you will be denied admission to the test session. • Military test-takers, bring your military ID
Home-school students and high school students, if you do not have the required government-issued ID, please complete a Student ID Form , which is valid for one year. The form must be accompanied by a recognizable photo, with a school or notary seal overlapping the photo. The form must be signed in front of a school official or notary. If you fail to present appropriate ID, you will not be tested. Examples of other types of acceptable ID include:
• Government-issued passport with name, photograph and signature
• Driver’s license with name, photograph and signature
• State or Province ID issued by the motor vehicle agency with name, photograph and signature
• U.S. Military ID with name, photograph and electronic signature
• National ID with name, photograph and signature
• Tribal ID card with name, photograph and signature
• A naturalization card or certificate of citizenship with name, photograph and signature
• A Permanent Resident Card (Green Card) with name, photograph and signature

In order to take the THEA IBT, you must bring two forms of personal identification, one of which is photographic identification, to the test center. Examples of photographic identification include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Valid driver's license
• Valid passport
• Student identification card
• Military identification card
• Current alien registration card
• Department of Public Safety card
• Matriculate Consular
Acceptable forms of non-photographic identification include, but are not limited to, the following:
• pay stub
• insurance card
• social security card
• valid credit card
• yearbook
• description of the examinee written on high school or college stationery and signed by an official of that institution
All forms of identification must be originals. Photocopies will not be accepted. If you do not have photographic identification, you may not be admitted to the test center.
If you are refused admission because you do not provide proper identification, you will be considered absent and will receive no refund or credit of any kind. You may reschedule your test appointment at the test center's convenience.
If the name on your identification differs from the name in which you are registering, you must bring official, original verification of the change (e.g., original marriage certificate, original court order).
Before testing, the test proctor will verify that the information on your identification documents matches your registration information. If your score report is produced at the test center after test completion, the proctor will also verify that the name appearing on the score report matches the name on your identification documents.
