| Understanding Early Childhood Education Teacher Well-being |

In this study, early childhood education teachers will be asked to participate in three sessions. In session 1, participating teachers will inform our research by completing several questionnaires and providing a small hair sample. The hair sample will be analyzed ONLY to determine the teacher's physical level of stress - that stress which gets "under the skin." In session 2, participating teachers will be individually interviewed to learn about their well-being and levels of stress. In sessinon 3, participating teachers will be interviewed in a focus group with 3-5 other early childhood teachers. In total, the project will take between 3-4 hours of a participating teacher's time over the course of several months. In appreciation for teachers' time and effort, participating teachers will be compensated with a $75 gift card upon completion of all three sessions. |

In this study, Head Start teachers will be asked to participate in up to two sessions. In session 1, participating teachers will inform our research by completing several questionnaires. Fully online, these can be completed at a time and in a place most convenient for you. Should you care to continue your participation, you may elect to complete an individual interview over Zoom in session 2. In total, the project will take between 15 minutes and 1 hour and 15 minutes of a participating teacher's time over the course of 1-2 days. In appreciation for teachers' time and effort, participating teachers have the option to enter into a raffle after completing session 1, and will be compensated with a $20 gift card for completing session 2. |
| Pre-Service Teachers' Conceptions of Stress |

In this study, Pre-service teachers will be asked to participate in one session. In this single session, Pre-service teachers will be asked to complete a series of surveys and an individual interview. In total, the study will take 1 hour. In appreciation for Pre-service teachers’ time and effort, participating Pre-service teachers will be compensated with $10 cash. |
We invite early childhood education teachers from the community to participate in studies throughout the year. All of our participating teachers are compensated for their invaluable time and efforts.
